ABOUT SUSIE

Susie is a certified PGA teaching professional at the Kooyonga Golf Club who holds advanced status in coaching, game development, small business and management. She is also a PGA All Abilities coach with Trackman Golf and Titleist Performance Institute qualifications.

In the past Susie has been a tour professional on the Japanese LPGA, Chinese LPGA and Australian LPGA Tours (2006-2010). She completed a four year scholarship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where she was a student athlete representing UCLA in women's golf (2002-2006). In 2004 Susie led the Women's Golf Team to victory in the NCAA National Championship and finished 3rd individually with a 72 hole score of eight under par (71, 69, 68, 72). Susie has also been an Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) golf program athlete (2000-2002 & 2009-2010). During her time at the AIS she set the women's course record of four under par at the Royal Sydney Golf Club (New South Wales), set the women's course record of six under par at the Commonwealth Golf Club (Victoria) and equalled the course record of five under par at The Metropolitan Golf Club (Victoria).

Susie’s coaching philosophy is to cater to students requests while keeping lessons simple and fun. She ensures all students have a clear understanding of what is being worked on. All of the golf coaches involved in Susie's golf development have helped shape her coaching style. Having worked with some of the best coaches in the world Susie will help you improve your golfing skills.

As a touring golf professional, Susie played on the Japanese LPGA, Australian LPGA and Chinese LPGA tours. Her greatest professional golf highlight was winning the 2002 Kalmar Ladies Open (a Swedish Professional Tour event) on the 7th playoff hole.

In 2004 the UCLA Women's Golf Team won the prestigious Division 1 NCAA National Championship. The win captured the 92nd National Championship for UCLA. Susie led the team to victory and finished 3rd individually with a 72 hole score of eight under par (71, 69, 68, 72).

Amateur Golf


Captain: Winning SA Women’s Golf Team (2006)

This win was the first win for South Australia since 1936.

Winner: Leonora Wray Trophy (2004)
Awarded to the female amateur golfer with best Stroke average in Australia.
